We're getting ready to move in the next couple of months, and I'm trying to get a jump start on the studio ... it's always the hardest part, not only due to the volume of stuff, but because there is so much minutiae to contend with. Boxes and bottles of tiny beads and stones, fabric and leather scraps, paints tubes and weird bits and bobs that I've been hoarding for decades because I'm sure that I will *need* them some day.
It is both fun and exhausting to comb through it all. As I organize my beads I gain insight into favorite colorways as well as combinations that I'd like to explore more. I'm trying to examine everything with a critical eye, to determine if I *really* need to bring it, or if I can let it go. It's a little scary how much *stuff* I've amassed over the years, and moving is such a good excuse to purge some of the excess, and make way for new. Haven't decided if I want to do some sort of "destash sale", or simply gift/trade/donate the supplies that I'm ready to let go of. Thankfully, I have a bit of time to figure it all out.
