Sculpted Leather Peacock Headdress

This original leather headpiece is perfect for an offbeat bride! It features an abstract peacock design and rich details that are sure to make you feel like royalty! It was hand cut and shaped from premium quality tooling leather, and then hand painted in shimmering emerald and bronze with accents of royal blue and indigo. The forehead is crowned with a vintage glass cabochon, set in an aged brass bezel and vintage brass filigree. The outer edges feature additional vintage cabochons and filigrees.

The center stone is surrounded with a series of three hand carved leather peacock feathers, and a plethora of real peacock body and tail feathers. After this photo shoot, I added in a subtle brass rivet on each side, which helps with the fit and overall finish of the piece. The tail feathers on the sides add quite a bit of width, so we've found that generally speaking, this piece looks best on folks with "big hair" (ie lots of curls and waves, body or even dreadlocks).

It's a half crown, measuring about 16" wide by 5.5" high at the highest point. It ties with gorgeous and durable stretch lace in rich emerald green. You can wear it on your forehead like a traditional crown or across the top of your head for more of a tribal headdress look.
