Spirit Raven Mask and Crown by Beadmask Spirit Raven Mask and Crown by Beadmask
This original leather mask and headdress set was hand sculpted from my own design. The photos make it appear as one piece, but it is actually a crown and headdress set that can be worn separately or together (as shown).

The pieces were hand cut (no lasers) and sculpted from quality tooling leather, and then carved, dyed and painted. The deep black of the mask is offset with an oxidized silver filigree beak, as well as pewter accents around the eyes. The outer edges of the feathers have a light dusting of silver interference paint for a dramatic yet subtle pop. All color has been sealed front and back with a protective topcoat.

The crown features similar detailing, along with a feathered headdress of iridescent rooster feathers and stunning black peacock feathers. The model is wearing the crown a bit lower in these photos, so that it sort of nests into the forehead of the mask. That's one option for wearing this set, but you can also wear the headdress a bit higher up for a larger, more dramatic effect.

Oh. Well, it still looks nice, and that's still an awesome shade of blue (Water Nymph! But not like anything around where we live. The nymphs where we live would surely be small brown-green creatures.)

Nice. I like that shade of blue, it's like water... You could totally make a water nymph mask that shade! :D

Hmm, I wonder if the blue effect is just how the photographer processed it? The mask is actually black with pewter and silver accents. The feathers at the top are iridescent, which brings in some blue-ish highlights, but the overall piece is not really blue.
